  • Depuis sa création en 1974, l’Académie des Césars à régulièrement distingué de nombreux professionnels issus de L’Ecole. On compte environ 200 nominations et une trentaine de récompenses dans les domaines de la réalisation, de la photographie, du son et du montage.

Career Prospects

The school aims to provide high-level general technical training in Visual Arts (Film & Photography) and Sound Engineering. The future professionals will possess the necessary technical resources and know-how to enable them to adapt within the ever-changing audiovisual industries.

The Film Department provides students with access to professions such as cinematographer or camera operator as well as director or assistant director. Additionally, it offers outlets in the fields of production and post-production within the audiovisual industries.

The Sound Department provides students with access to both technical and artistic fields such as sound recording, sound editing, sound engineering within the image industries. It also provides outlets within the music world, radio and the performing arts. Students have access to diverse areas of the profession, including production, research, training...

 

The Photography Department provides access to careers within the press, fashion or advertising industries amongst others. It also allows students to apply for managerial positions in the manufacturing or distributing of photographic materials and equipment. Students' knowledge of the image production chain offers various employment opportunities within the fields of multimedia and research.

The school provides a network for students, past and present, through its active partnership with the AEVLL (L'Association des Anciens Elèves de Vaugirard-Louis Lumière) the Louis Lumière Alumni Association.
