Ce mémoire est une étude sur la qualité métrologique et perçue des préamplificateurs audio. Dans la chaîne audio, le préamplificateur intervient juste après le microphone et serait d'une importance capitale dans la couleur du son et l'orientation esthétique d'un projet audio.
Au terme de mesures objectives et de tests perceptifs (subjectifs) sur une population d'ingénieurs du son, nous tenterons de voir si cette hypothèse est justifiée ou non. À la suite de ces études, nous avons l'intention d'émettre des propositions pour un meilleur préamplificateur théorique, puis pour le préamplificateur favori des ingénieurs du son. Pour finir, nous essayerons de voir quels sont les liens entre ces deux résultats et s'ils sont probants.
Abstract :
This dissertation is a study on the metrological and perceptive quality of audio preamplifiers. In the audio chain, the preamplifier comes right after the microphone and is supposed to have a significant importance in the color of the sound and the esthetic orientation of an audio project.
After achieving objective measures and perceptive tests on a population of sound engineers, we will attempt to see if that statement is justified or not. In the end of these studies, one of our goals is to be able to give the best theoretical preamplifier, then the one sound engineers like the most. In the end, we will try to see what ore the bounds between these two results and if they likely to mean anything.
