Admission to ENS Louis-Lumière can be gained in two ways:

A - by passing the competitive entrance exam common to all students (whether French nationals or not).

The courses last 3 academic years at a cost of 300€ per year.

The student can choose between three departments: Film (Cinematography), Photography and Sound Engineering.

The common entrance exam takes place annually in country-region.

B - Within the framework of an "exchange" between European or international schools, which falls into two categories:

 1. the request emanates directly from the student (no exchange is foreseen). The student's application must be supported by his school or institution. He may benefit from 1 or 2 semesters' tuition at a cost of 1 500€ per semester to cover all related costs.

 2. The student is on an exchange programme between ENS Louis-Lumière and his/her institution i.e. s/he will take the place left by an ENS Louis-Lumière student for the same duration. In this case the fees will be the same as in the sending institution.

All tuition is in French. The student may be asked to provide proof of level.

All applications should be made directly to the school before 10 May of each year.

All applications should contain: a c.v., a cover letter, course details, a portfolio and any other information which may support his/her application.
