Partnerships, the dissemination and promotion of work
A policy of selective partnership with schools
Partnership is a privileged means of investing in new fields of activity, sharing know-how and consolidating expertise.
In the case of the Master's in Cinema, we would like to mention partnerships on productions of the Fémis, the Kourtrajmé school, the Haute école d'art et de design (HEAD - Switzerland) and the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (EnsAD), on which our students serve as Directors of Photography.
We The ENS Louis-Lumière also welcomes students from the Conservatoire Libre du Cinéma Français (CLCF) with whom we collaborate around assistant directorship. Students from the University of Paris 8 assist students from the ENS Louis-Lumière in the promotion of their work (production of film posters and press kits).
The students of the Master of Photography programme carry out studio shoots (video and photography) for projects by fashion designers from the Duperré School of Applied Arts. They investigate with the students of the Master "Cultural and Creative Industries, Digital Platforms Specialisation", from the University of Paris 8, on the social impact of digital technologies, producing images illuminating these questions.

The students of the Sound Master's programme produce sound design for parts of animated films from the École des Gobelins, as well as the soundtracks for the documentaries of students of the "Cinema, Documentary, Media" Master's programme at the University of Paris Diderot.
These partnerships work in the same way as students of the Master in Cinema contribute to productions from the students of the Kourtrajmé school and EnsAD.
An active and diverse partnership policy
The links ENS Louis-Lumière creates with partners are at the centre of its educational project.
An example of this policy is the participation in photographic commissioning exercises, enhancing the value of students' work. Partners include the Comité Départemental du Tourisme de Seine-Saint-Denis (2019), Aéroports de Paris (2018), the Société du Grand Paris (2017) and the Musée d'Orsay (2018).

Since 2006, the ENS Louis-Lumière has renewed its collaboration with the Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma (the "Césars") every year. The students of the Photography masters produce reports on events organised by the Academy and a photograph honouring the 25 nominees of the 5 Technical Césars.

The School has set up diverse long-term partnerships with equipment and supply companies: applied research projects, sharing of technical expertise, lending and testing of equipment, regular hosting of trainees, support for student projects, etc.
A few examples: Thalès-Angénieux, Arri, Technicolor, Canon, Tapages, Transpalux, Panavision, Next Shot, Mikros, EV Corp, Broncolor, Camagrip, Sony, Nikon...
Two regular events offer visibility to educational projects:
- The Open Day at the end of November , which mobilises the whole school and welcomes more than 1000 visitors;
- The graduates' evening at the Cinémathèque française, which showcases a selection of our productions for 400 guests in a prestigious venue.
ENS Louis-Lumière also works with partners on events outside the school:
- Clermont-Ferrand Festival: organisation of a film set and raising public awareness of the film industry and the School's activities;
- The 6 B (Saint-Denis): 3rd Year Photography work showcase
- La Muse en Circuit (Alfortville): hosting of the "Sound Scenography" option.
Dissemination of our work: festivals
Films made in the second and third years of the Cinema course are registered in the free-to-enter festivals belonging to category 1 of the CNC list as well as sometimes free-to-enter festivals outside the list for strategic reasons.
