RĂ©sumĂ© : En tant que pratique rĂ©guliĂšre, continue et personnelle, le journal filmĂ© tĂ©moigne dâune expĂ©rience intime qui se distingue toutefois de lâautobiographie. DĂ©veloppĂ© grĂące Ă des avancĂ©es techniques telles que lâinvention de la vidĂ©o, il manifeste un geste artistique singulier, en marge du circuit cinĂ©matographique traditionnel, qui relĂšve plus de la collection que de la production. Le cinĂ©aste y fouille son quotidien et dresse un portrait de soi Ă travers lui, avec parfois lâobjectif de guĂ©rir ainsi les angoisses quâil expose. La camĂ©ra, portĂ©e dâun jour Ă lâautre, lĂ©gĂšre mais lourde de souvenirs, devient dĂšs lors un outil dâinteraction sociale et sentimentale, une partenaire de vie jusque dans la mort. En sâattachant Ă lâindividu qui le tient, le journal filmĂ© participe alors activement Ă sa construction identitaire : plus quâune description, il montre une Ă©volution.

Abstract: As a regular, ongoing and personal practice, the film diary reflects an intimate experience that stands apart from autobiography. Developed thanks to technical advances such as the invention of video, it manifests a singular artistic gesture, on the fringe of the traditional film circuit, which is more a matter of collection than production.
The filmmaker delves into his daily life and draws a portrait of himself through it, sometimes in an attempt to heal the anxieties he exposes. The camera, carried from day to day, light but heavily charged with memories, becomes a tool for social and sentimental interaction, a partner in life until death. By attaching itself to the individual who holds it, the filmed diary then actively participates in its building of identity: more than a description, it shows an evolution.
